2020 Pink Shirt Day Luncheon
The Pink Shirt Day Luncheon has been a part of the Pink Shirt Day campaign for the past 8 years. This well-loved event brings together businesses, community partners, influencers and supporters of the CKNW Kids’ Fund Pink Shirt Day for an afternoon dedicated to spreading awareness and raising funds in support of programs that foster children's healthy self esteem.
On February 21st we will be continuing that tradition with slight changes, including a change of venue: Elisa Wood-fired Grill, as well as a new host: CKNW on air host Lynda Steele. We are also welcoming Bridgitte Anderson, the new CEO and president of the Vancouver Board of Trade, as keynote speaker. Bridgitte is the first female CEO of the Vancouver Board of Trade in its 132-year history and will be discussing her professional experiences and what it means to be a woman in today’s corporate environment.
To date, the Pink Luncheon has raised over $430,000, and continues to be our largest fundraiser of the Pink Shirt Day campaign. It takes many to make this day possible, and we are incredibly grateful to the support of our Luncheon organizing committee for their hard work leading up to and during the event. We would also like to thank our sponsors: Alpine Credits, Beedie, Swoop Airlines, Skin Technique, Lugaro Jewellers, Stong’s Market, Gray Monk Estate Winery and Elisa Wood-Fired Grill.
