Date announced for Pink Luncheon 2018
The Pink Shirt Day luncheon, one of our largest annual events, brings together businesses, partners, local influencers and supporters of CKNW Children's Charities' Pink Shirt Day for an afternoon of powerful guest speakers, delicious food, silent and live auctions and, of course, fantastic company! This year’s luncheon will be held on February 23rd at the Blue Water Café in downtown Vancouver and will be hosted by CKNW host Simi Sara and joined by Marco Iannuzzi, former player for the BC Lions, as the guest auctioneer.

Marco Iannuzzi Bio:
Marco Iannuzzi is a Harvard and MIT grad. He was the Lions first round draft pick and went on to 7 memorable seasons with the Lions. Over his 116 game career he won a Grey Cup Championship, and was the recipient of the CFL's Tom Pate memorial award for commitment to the community. Aside from football, he won an episode of CBC's Canada's Smartest Person and continues to operate his investment practice at RBC Dominion Securities which he has done for the last 6 years. Marco and his wife raise their three children (9, 6, 4 yrs.) in White Rock BC.
Simi Sara Bio:
Simi Sara is an award-winning journalist, having spent 5 years with CKNW and more than 10 years in local television. Her passion for storytelling and personal and humble approach to journalism allows people to tell her what is on their mind – bringing everyday common sense to Vancouver’s daily conversation.
