Pink Shirt Day has come a long way over the past years. From something that was started here in Canada, is now making its way to many countries around the world. For those who don’t know how Pink Shirt Day started, “the original event was organized by David Shepherd and Travis Price of Berwick, Nova Scotia, who in 2007 bought and distributed 50 pink shirts after male ninth grade student, Charles McNeill, was bullied for wearing a pink shirt during the first day of school.”

Pink Shirt Day is celebrated on various dates, and we want to spread some light on the many countries who support this movement:

The Philippines just marked their first celebration of Pink Shirt Day which was celebrated recently in June 2015! Looking at their Facebook page, they had an amazing turnout!
